Overview of Money Math for Windows, v5.1 [ASP/ESC] --
All professionals engaged in managing the assets of a company or an individual, use financial analysis. The foundation of financial analysis is mathematical but requires experience and practice beyond just understanding and using the equations. Since some of the equations are difficult and tedious to solve, it can be very beneficial to have software available to handle the mathematics quickly and accurately. Money Math tries to meet those needs.
Money Math has two principal menus that will connect you to the built-in calculation power. The Calculation menu has a group of sub-menus designed to obtain an answer to many common financial questions. For example, you can calculate the mortgage payment for an assumed home purchase. You can calculate the yield-to-maturity on a bond or CD you are considering purchasing. These menu items will handle all of the calculations taught in a college level course in financial mathematics.
The Worksheet menu takes the calculations one step further. These sub-menus combine the basic calculations to solve more complex problems. You can easily determine if it is economical to refinance or prepay a home mortgage. You can also project your retirement income from an IRA or 401K plan or work up the economics for a proposed project.
Money Math provides you with a set of financial calculations that apply to most of today's financial analysis needs. The extensive Help available will allow you to find your way to the exact calculation that will solve your problem.
